Welcome to Gemstone Walkin' Horses

We are a couple who have a small Tennessee Walking Horse barn, situated in Toftlund, Denmark. Our focus is mainly to further the knowledge of, and promote the natural ability of the breed here in our country, as breed is as yet a rarity here. At the moment there are less than 10 specimens, to our knowledge, none of which are stallions. For that reason, we have to go to Germany, Poland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden etc. when taking our mares to stud.
Breeding in Denmark started in 2008, and our own first foal was born on July 6, 2013
(see Amber).

When breeding we look for gait, conformation, and disposition. A flashy horse is always a plus, but we'll never put color above said qualities.

Our farm is a small, disused farm, where we live with our family consisting of:

  • 3 Tennessee Walking Horses

  • 1 Karelian Bear Dog

  • 5 Red tailed boas

  • 27 pet rats (+/- babies)

(can be seen in the left-hand menu)
